Facilitators: Peter and Susan Pizele
Sunday December 15 - 10:00-11:30 AM CT
Description:
The Moreno Foundation for Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy
is offering another powerful workshop experience! Peter and Susan Pitzele, the Founders of Bibliodrama in the United States,
will help us explore our scripture in a deep and experiential way, through Bibliodrama. They will invite participants to step into the role of one or more biblical figures,
offering the opportunity to lend our contemporary voices as the scene unfolds, adding our personal meanings and enlivening the text.
As we explore our scriptures, we find our own issues, as personal and universal truths emerge. Knowing the Bible ahead of time is not necessary! Acting experience is not required. Our purpose is not to push any presumed doctrines or approved interpretations, or suggest that there is a single way to understand a scripture passage; rather, the experience provides an opportunity to use our imagination and improvisation to discover relevancy for today’s world, enriching the stories and making them our own. With our similar and different voices, we will come to recognize our personal and spiritual journey from our deepening understanding of our ancient texts.
Training Objectives:
At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
